Here in the US, there is a slowing trend for third party infotainment systems. What are infotainment systems you ask? Infotainment systems are collections of technology built for automobiles. Typically, they are connected to the car to read various measurements and readings via the automobiles CAN bus. These messages can be as simple as "LIGHTS ARE ON" or "RADIO IS OFF"... but they can also send very technical and critical messages such as "DEPLOY AIRBAG" or "APPLY BREAKS".
